Friday, Jan. 13, 2012

  • What: Estes Park Winter Festival Céilidh Barn Dance inside the main pavilion and outdoor bonfire with cowboy poetry and ghost stories withhot cocoa and s'mores
  • When: 7 pm to midnight
  • Where: The Fairgrounds at Stanley Park, mainpavilion (heated) Cost: FREE admission and $4 microbrews and $5 wine. Sponsored by Estes Park Wedding Association www.EstesParkWeddings.com

 

  • What:  Aquatic Center Swim Hours  www.EstesValleyRecreation.com
  • When: Friday- 6 to 8 pm and Monday 5:30am to 9am and then from 11:30am to 3pm
  • Where: Estes Park Aquatic Center, 660 Community Drive
  • Cost: $5 per person

Friday and Saturday (Jan. 14 and15, 2012)

  • What: Observatory star and planet gazing www.AngelsAbove.org
  • When: 6: 30 to 8: 30 p.m.
  • Where: Estes Park Memorial Observatory, 1600 Manford Ave.
  • Cost: Free, but a donation of $3 per person is suggested

Saturday (Jan. 14, 2012)

  • What: Winter Trails Day www.WinterTrails.org
  • When: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Where: Rocky Mountain National Park – Directions available at entrance gate.
  • Cost: The event is free! *RMNP fees apply.
  • What: Estes Park Winter Festival Gallery Tour
  • When: 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Where: Self-Guided tour of downtown Estes Park galleries and studios. Cultural Arts Council of Estes Park, (970) 586-9230.
  • Cost: The event is free! 

Saturday and Sunday (Jan. 14 & 15, 2012)

  • What: Interactive Ice Castle with Jess Parrish Cool Hand Ice at the Fairgrounds at Stanley Park www.jessparrish.info
  • Ice maze, ice slide, sno-cone luge, interactive snowand ice games, ice carving, cube ‘o money and more!
  • When: 11 a.m. to5 p.m.
  • Where: Fairgrounds at Stanley Park, Estes Park, Colorado (If you have been to the Scottish Festival, THAT is the place!)
  • Cost: $5 per person per day includes chili tasting. No charge for children under three. Additional cost for wine and beer tasting, skating, pony rides and horse& carriage rides.

 


  • What: Wine and Beer Tasting – Indoors and Out! Walk around and enjoy the Festival!
  • When: 11 a.m. to5 p.m.
  • Where: Inside the heatedpavilion atthe Fairgrounds at Stanley Park
  • Cost: $25 per day for wine and beer tasting, includes a commemorative glass, Festival Entry and chili tasting.

 

  • What: Live Music
  • When: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Where: Inside the heated pavilion at the Fairgrounds at Stanley Park
  • Cost: Included in Festival Entry

 

  • What: Shopping with local artisans
  • When: 11 a.m. to5 p.m.

  • What: Horse and Carriage Rides and Pony Rides
  • When: 11 a.m. -5 p.m.
  • Where: Start at the Fairgrounds at Stanley Park
  • Cost: $5 per person. Must purchase Festival Entry ticket to access rides.


  • What: Skating on the State-of-the-Art Synthetic Ice Rink
  • When: 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Where: The Fairgrounds at Stanley Park
  • Cost: $1 per skate. Must purchase Festival Entry ticket to access skating rink.

 

Sunday (January 15, 2012)

  • What: Winter Wonderland Vow Renewal and Reception
  • When: 5: 00 p.m. After party until 7: 00 p.m.
  • Where: The Fairgrounds at Stanley Park
  • Cost: FREE sponsored by the Estes Park Wedding Association

Join us for a group vow renewal ceremony followed by a game filled celebration of love. Featuring the Newlywed Game, couple challenges, and dance lessons with lots of great prizes, including a second honeymoon in Estes Park! Cake and punch will be served to all. A professional photographer will be on hand for couple portraits.

  • Where: Tour with a Professional photographer, Photograph elk and other animal & scenery, Learn about your camera and Rocky Mountain National Park, Tips and tricks of how to get better shots and have fun doing so! Our scenery and wildlife is the perfect canvas!
  • Cost: $35.00 per person for a 3hr. tour (7-10am or 1-4pm) or ask about a 6hr tour!
